According to the notification, the SECP has directed all non-listed companies having paid-up capital of Rs 200 million and above shall maintain a functional website with effect from January 1, 2013. However, the companies are encouraged to maintain and use their website on voluntarily basis before the said date.
Aforesaid non-listed companies shall provide all relevant information to stakeholders and such other information including profile of the company. It included name of company (as registered with the SECP); Company Registration Number and NTN; status of company; vision, mission and details of permissible business activities; information about the permissions/licenses etc (if required for the business); complete address of registered office, head office and all other branch offices; phone number(s) and fax (if available) of head office, registered office and branch offices and email address (es).
The non-listed companies shall provide information about profile of Board of Directors and their office addresses. The Investor Information included Annual Reports of company for last two years and name of statutory auditor of company. Other information included site map; search facility and National/ International Awards; recognition (if any); membership of industrial associations and trade bodies (if any); any other announcements or clarification issued by the company; regulator (s) of company with their web-link; Credit Rating (if any) along with the name of rating agency; detail of associated/holding/subsidiary companies and their website links (if any) and latest date of updating website and complaint box.
